UV Steriliser effectively kills up to 99% of bacteria and germs

Samsung, Sri Lanka’s No. 1 consumer electronics and smartphone brand, has introduced a new UV Steriliser with wireless charging that can be used to quickly disinfect any smartphone, buds, spectacles, and smartwatches in just 10 minutes, wherever you are.

According to tests done by two independent certification institutes, Intertek and SGS, UV Steriliser effectively kills up to 99% of the bacteria and germs that includes E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.

The UV Steriliser is manufactured by Samsung C&T, a partner of the Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program (SMAPP) and is designed to fit a variety of device sizes so you can sterilise many of the products you use the most.

The UV Steriliser, comes in a sleek and compact design that can be carried around easily. The sterilising box has been designed to disinfect your mobile, wearables, and even your spectacles; the top and bottom surfaces of items that are placed inside. UV Steriliser can be accessed with a single button that switches the device on and off. The device automatically switches off after 10 minutes, allowing users to sanitise their belongings without any worry. The UV Steriliser comes with a 10W Wireless Charger that can charge your smartphone, buds or other devices, and charging continues even after sanitisation is done so that when you pick up your device, you are sure it is disinfected, charged, and ready to use. Any device with Qi-compatible wireless charging can be charged.

Samsung’s UV Steriliser will be priced at Rs. 9,999 and is available at island-wide authorised dealers of John Keells Office Automation and Softlogic Mobile Distribution which can be easily identified by the Samsung logo placed outside the shop. It is also available at authorised partners; Softlogic Retail, Singer, Singhagiri and Damro, Network Partners Dialog and Mobitel, and via the online portals; Samsung EStore, MySoftlogic.lk, and Daraz.lk.
