විසින් July 2026 update එක හරහා groups සහ group calls සඳහා සාමාන්ය users ලට වැදගත් නව features කිහිපයක් rollout කිරීම ආරම්භ කරලා තියෙනවා. Google Play WhatsApp release notes අනුව, දැන් group එකකට අලුතින් member කෙනෙක් add කරන විට recent group history share කිරීමේ පහසුකම ලබාදෙමින් තිබෙනවා. ඒ වගේම group calls සඳහා mobile සහ desktop අතර call transfer කිරීම, call links සඳහා waiting room feature එක, සහ participant කෙනෙක් bigger tile එකකට pin කිරීම වගේ updates ද එකතු වෙලා තියෙනවා.
Group History Sharing කියන්නේ මොකක්ද?
සාමාන්යයෙන් WhatsApp group එකකට අලුතින් කෙනෙක් join වුණාම, ඔහුට/ඇයට join වීමට පෙර group එකේ තිබුණු messages බලන්න බැහැ. ඒ නිසා group එකේ කලින් discuss කරපු දේවල්, important updates, decisions, links වගේ දේවල් අලුත් member කෙනෙක්ට තේරුම් ගන්න අපහසු වෙනවා.
නව update එකෙන්, group එකකට new member කෙනෙක් add කරන විට recent group history share කරන්න පුළුවන්. එවිට අලුත් member කෙනාට group එකේ context එක ඉක්මනින් තේරුම් ගන්න ලේසි වෙනවා. WABetaInfo වාර්තාවලින් පෙනෙන්නේ මේ feature එක කලින් beta/rollout stage එකේදී iOS users අතරත් test වෙමින් තිබුණු බවයි.
Group Calls වලට Call Transfer
මෙම update එකේ තවත් වැදගත් feature එකක් තමයි group calls mobile සහ desktop අතර transfer කරන්න හැකිවීම. ඒ කියන්නේ ඔබ phone එකෙන් WhatsApp group call එකක් attend කරමින් ඉන්න අතරතුර, desktop එකට switch වෙන්න හෝ desktop එකෙන් mobile එකට move වෙන්න පහසු වෙනවා.
මෙය work calls, study discussions, family video calls වගේ දේවල් වලදී useful. උදාහරණයක් ලෙස ඔබ phone එකෙන් call එකට join වෙලා පසුව laptop එක ළඟට ගියා නම්, call එක disconnect නොකර desktop එකට transfer කරන්න පුළුවන් වීම convenience එක වැඩි කරනවා.
Call Links සඳහා Waiting Room
WhatsApp group calls වල call links භාවිත කරන විට waiting room feature එකත් එකතු වෙමින් තියෙනවා. මේක Zoom/Google Meet වගේ video meeting apps වල තියෙන waiting room concept එකට සමානයි. Call link එකක් හරහා join වෙන අයව call එකට ඇතුල් වීමට පෙර control කරන්න මෙය උදව් වෙනවා.
මෙය privacy සහ control පැත්තෙන් වැදගත්. විශේෂයෙන්ම public group එකකට හෝ වැඩි පිරිසක් share කරන call link එකකට random users join වීම වැළැක්වීමට මෙය උපකාරී වෙන්න පුළුවන්.
Participant Pin කිරීම
Group calls අතරතුර participant කෙනෙක් bigger tile එකකට pin කරන්න පුළුවන් feature එකත් WhatsApp release notes වල සඳහන් වෙනවා. Presentation එකක් කරන කෙනෙක්, teacher කෙනෙක්, meeting host කෙනෙක්, හෝ main speaker කෙනෙක් call එකේ ඉන්න විට එය ඉතා ප්රයෝජනවත්.
WhatsApp සඳහන් කරන විදිහට, මේ features “over the coming weeks” rollout වන නිසා හැම user කෙනෙකුටම එකම දවසේ නොපෙනෙන්න පුළුවන්. Feature එක නොපෙනේ නම් WhatsApp app එක Google Play Store හෝ App Store හරහා update කරලා බලන්න
